    Cancellations

Students are required to notify the teacher if they are unable to take a lesson. Make-up lessons (one per student per semester) are available for excused absences. Excused absences include student sickness, death in the family, and out of town travel. Notification of at least eight hours in advance entitles the student to a make-up lesson for an excused absence. Please keep your instructor’s phone number(s) and the Conservatory Office number (901.260.5753) handy.

    Make-up Lessons

Each student is allowed one make-up lesson per semester provided the teacher is notified eight hours in advance and it is an excused absence. In this event, both teacher and student will then decide on a mutually agreeable time for the make-up lesson.

    • No-shows – A missed lesson without a phone call is a no-show and will not be made up.
    • Teacher absences – All lessons due to the teacher’s absence will be made up.
    • Group lessons – Group lessons will not be made up, unless the teacher is absent.

    Payment

    • Option 1 – Payment in full is due by the first lesson.
    • Option 2 – Half of the payment is due by the first lesson with the balance due in 30 days.
