BREATH & BODY and PILATES CLASSES

Classes and facilities are open to the community...

What is Breath & Body?
Breath & Body is our christian alternative to yoga, acknowledging God as our creator and sustainer.  We worship the Creator- not what he's created! 
(Romans 1:25) Cross Flex workouts include stretching & breathing exercises, holding poses that strengthen core muscles, improving posture and  flexibility.


What is Pilates?
Pilates, named after it's inventor, Joseph Pilates, is a gentle, safe, but challenging non-impact exercise performed on mats that builds abdominal and back muscles.  Exercises are similar to yoga.  Pilates is a more complete fitness exercise program due to the agressive nature of movements.  Benefits include improved posture and stability, better coordination and balance, stronger bones and improved circulation. This class is good for adults of all ages, body types, and fitness levels.

What are the benefits?
 
Improved Flexibility: 
classes include stretching exercises to help improve range of motion.
Improved Strength: 
rather than using machines or free weights, your own body weight is used to improve strength.
Improved Balance: 
exercises help improve balance by lifting & holding positions while lying or standing on a mat.
