Cooking Camp
Taste and See that the Lord is Good! On June 6 at 9-12am, Children completed 1st-3rd grade will have fun learning age-appropriate cooking techniques and also discover important scriptural concepts. And get to enjoy some yummy food! Space is limited! Cost is $10.
Centri-Kid Camp
Get ready for Centri-Kid Camp for completed 3rd-5th grade! Join us for “Wow Factor: God Gives Great Gifts.” At CentriKid 2024, kids will explore how God gives above and beyond everything they can ask or think! Camp will be June 10-14, and the cost is $400 before February 12, and 425 after. Limited spots remain. Student Camp 2024
Student summer camp will be June 15-20 at Ridgecrest in Ridgecrest, NC with MFuge! We'll be looking at four stories in the Bible of great change and revival that resulted in generational impact and be challenged to make a difference for generations to come while engaging in worship, bible study, and doing mission work with the local community. To reserve your spot, a $125 deposit is due at the time of registration and a $300 balance before we board the bus.
VBS BREAKER ROCK BEACH 2024
Children will be challenged as they discover that God’s truth never changes, everyone needs Jesus, and learn to speak the truth in love. Adventure awaits each day as kids explore tide pools, spot orcas, fly kites, and watch the mighty waves crash up against the immovable Breaker Rock! VBS is for children who have completed Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Pre-registration closes June 21 at Noon. Walk-up registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Monday and 8:45 a.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Movie Makers Camp
GBC Children’s Ministry Movie Makers Camp is a two-morning camp for 4th-5th grades that explores the art behind film production! Kids will discover the concepts of scriptwriting, storyboarding, casting, pre/postproduction and the masterpiece of conveying meaningful messages through movie making, with the gospel being the greatest message ever told! Children's Ministry - Summer Games
On July 20 join in on the excitement of the Olympics as your team competes for gold at Summer Games! We will begin with a parade of nations where the 3 unreached nations our teams are represent will be introduced and prayed for. Summer Games for completed K-2nd graders will be from 10 AM-12 PM on the Joy Lawn, and completed 3rd-5th grades from 2-4PM. Bring a towel and be ready to get wet! Kindergarten/3rd grades wear yellow, 1st/4th grades wear green, and 2nd/5th grades wear blue.
Glow Games
Get your kids ready in their neon getup at Glow Games! On July 28 kids will be nearing promotion Sunday with a bang, play some fun neon games, and learn about how God has called His followers to be the light of the world. Completed 3rd-5th grades rotation is at 9 a.m. while Completed K-2nd grades begin at 10:30 a.m..
Women's Spring Retreat - DWELL
The Women's Retreat has been rescheduled for Friday evening, April 26th. This will be a one night only mini-retreat, but it will be packed with lots and lots of everything! We will eat dinner, enjoy a special time of worship, create Prayer Bibles with Lori Green, do a little painting and a lot of talking, and eat some more! Rejoice!: A Hosanna Choir Musical
Join us Wednesday evening April 17th in the Faith Building for a worship concert presented by Hosanna Children's Choir. Following the evening meal, our children will lead us in worship through a collection of scripture memory songs from the book of Philippians. Over 30 verses of scripture are set to catchy, upbeat tunes and our children are working hard to encourage all of us to know and love the Word of God. The Quest 2024
Get your kids ready for The Quest! This journey is a family scavenger hunt filled with fun and adventure that will help prepare you to celebrate Easter Sunday together. Elevate Beach Week
Elevate Beach Week is a high-energy experience for elementary aged children to break away from the normal Wednesday evening routine and enjoy some fun vacation-themed games that lead up to a Scriptural takeaway during their Spring Break.
Masterpiece Concert #3: Rhapsody in Blue
Exactly 100 years ago, in February 1924, George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue was first performed. It is known for bringing jazz from the streets of New York into the concert hall. Join us on February 29 at 7 p.m. for a performance of this famous work, along with other works written in the 1920s, featuring Dawson and Taneea Hull, as well as other outstanding musicians from the Memphis area. The concert takes place in the GBC Music Hall and is free and open to the public.
5th Grade Impact
Fifth graders, get ready for a taste of Student Ministry's Impact Weekend! Pastor Josh and Mr. Mark will lead you through a fun afternoon of bible study, music, and games before joining the student ministry for dinner and their third session. Fifth grade impact is on February 17 from 2:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and will begin in JOY 217.
Impact 2024
Students will have a fun filled weekend where students will dive into the Word of God with JB Long, worship with Journey Worship Band, serve together and make life time memories. Cost for event is $75 and is due by February 15th.
Snow Day Sunday
Get ready to be snowed in! On Sunday, February 11 the GBC Children’s Ministry will have Snow Day Sunday. 3rd-5th Grade will be from 9-10:10AM and K-2nd will be 10:30-11:45 in Joy 217. We'll have snowball fights, sledding, snowman making, hot chocolate, marshmallows, and popcorn! Wear your "comfies" like you would if you were home snowed in for the day. This is a great time to bring a friend! K-2nd will transition straight from Sunday School into Snow Day.
Hide-and-Seek with a purpose! Join us for the best version of Hide-and-Seek that goes on all over our church building while learning about and praying for believers who are persecuted throughout the world. The Promise: A Christmas Worship Music Concert featuring Veritas

Student Ministry Open House
Parents of students grade 6th-12th, join Pastor Hunter as he shares an update on the direction and vision of our Student Ministry on November 5th at 9 a.m. in the adult choir room. At this meeting, you will hear details about Impact, Summer Camp, the spring schedule, and you will have the opportunity to have open discussion with Pastor Hunter and other parents. This will also be a great time to update and sign waivers for the year.
Young Professionals Fall Trip
After work on Friday, November 3, we’ll head to Jackson, TN, for dinner and fellowship. On Saturday, November 4, we will explore Natchez Trace State Park - including a guided hike and a picnic. We will wrap up the day going to a fun center offering mini golf, bowling, skating, laser tag, and go karts. On Sunday, we’ll watch the GBC service together before departing for home. Masterpiece Concert Series #2: Piano² A Two-Piano Concert
176 keys, 20 fingers, 2 musicians. The Conservatory of Music's second Masterpiece concert takes place on October 19 at 7 p.m., featuring music written for two pianos, performed by Dawson Hull and Evan Solomon. You'll hear a wide variety of works by several different composers. Joining the series for the first time is Evan Solomon, who spent over 30 years on staff at The Juilliard School. This concert is free and open to the public and takes place in the Music Hall of Germantown Baptist Church.
Elevate: Nerf Night
On Wednesday, October 11, we will pause Word & Worship and have Elevate: Nerf Night! From 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in Joy 217, we will have a variety of games to test skills using Nerf Blasters, many of which will point to a Biblical take-away. Bring your own blaster and we will have plenty of ammo (of all varieties).
Women's Ministry Craft Night - Creating Burlap Pumpkin Door Hangers
Nothing says “Happy Fall Yall” better than a burlap pumpkin hanging on the door! You can make your own on Thursday, September 28 at 6:00 p.m.! The Women's Ministry will provide all the materials (burlap pumpkin, paint, brushes, etc.). The cost is $12 for one and $8 for a second one. Holy Land Trip Info Meeting
If you are interested in joining Pastor Matt and Nikki on a trip to the Holy Land, there will be an information meeting on September 24 immediately following the worship service. The next trip is scheduled for July 16-July 26, 2024. They are looking forward to taking a group from GBC with them.
